Essex Cycling is run by Colchester Cycling Campaign on behalf of all cyclists and would-be cyclists in Essex.
Our aim is to promote cycling in the county by putting you in touch with the groups that matter, and the rides happening near to where you live.
Cycling in Essex also has an extensive advice section plus links to national groups like the CTC, Sustrans, the national cycling route charity, and Hovis Byway.
We at Cycling in Essex feel, however, that the key to improving cycling in Essex is standing up and shouting ... loud.
We want to have fun, save the planet and be safe while we're doing it.
We're fed up with being blamed for the idiots who ride without lights or cycle on the footway needlessly: cyclists belong on the road and the roads must be made safe for cyclists!
If you want to join the elite group of Essex cycling campaigners, please check out the CAMPAIGN! page and contact the campaigner nearest to you.
